New Zealand's up and coming designer: Kristen Basra
Kristen Basra is New Zealand’s up and coming interior designer and was recently recognised with her award as New Zealand’s Emerging Design Professional at the 2019 Interior Awards.
We partnered with Kristen to design, develop and craft a space that was as beautiful and inspiring as it was functional.
So, with the task to create a design space in Parnell, the team at Archant knew we had to partner with someone to provide fresh and innovative ideas for this amazing design space.
As the designs were furthered and the showroom finally opened, Archant suddenly had a new foot in Parnell, a key design district in the Auckland region.
And as Archipro puts it, our new showroom space offers a ‘first-class experience for interior designers, kitchen designers and architects; a place they can bring clients to collaborate and develop customised kitchen solutions’
After completing her university degree, Kristen founded Spatial Studio in 2016 and has since worked on many projects and designs through her career.
As a young designer, Basra can bring fresh ideas and thought in design spaces yet still maintain a mature style, especially when tasked with business or commercial design projects such as the Archant Showroom where clients and designers need a functional but inspiring space.
Architecture Now emphasized her ‘tenacity and understanding’ of interior design elements. And we found her exceptional understanding of the balance of substance, textures, colours, excitement and calm within an interior space.
We’re proud to partner with such an ambitious and budding designer like Kristen.
