Gunmetal may actually refer to a shade of gray that has a bluish purple tinge. Copper is an important metal and Metalier's copper metal finish is an important one in the range. It is one of the metals that takes particularly well to a patina. Think of copper in nature

Gunmetal.

Gunmetal is a moody charcoal grey that suggests being paired with a coloured Schock sink for a significant contrast. Bring in the colour tone again with accessories and handles. We recommend a white Schock Sink with the Gunmetal Mixer, Metropolis Dark Stone from Santamargherita and handles in Brushed Anthracite on white cabinetry. This look is all about contrasting 2 monochrome colours and creating interest with the different unique textures of the products

Copper.

Copper is a soft colour that works well with dark and light colours. It depends if you want a fresh light kitchen or one in darker tones that will accentuate the copper with a great contrast between the colours.

A fresh light kitchen would include a colour palette of white, copper and soft greys. We suggest a White Schock sink with the Copper Mixer and matching accessories. A slab of white or grey stone and copper handles with white cabinetry. Zenith (plain white) from Santamargherita or Pearl Lava (grey) from Heritage are two options that will add to the 'fresh' look and feel of the kitchen. For an extra statement and something to create more interest, you could opt for a stone with a soft grey vein going through such as Serene Trace or Glacier Nova from the Heritage range.

We also have the perfect example of a kitchen in darker tones with copper accents. Alice & Caleb Pearson (previous winners of the Block NZ) have created a kitchen with Metropolis Dark stone from Santamargherita, a black Schock sink, Copper Mixer with matching accessories and Copper Sarnen handles from Heritage and white cabinetry. Simple and clean but the dark benchtop and sink with copper accents throughout is the winning combination of this kitchen making it a real statement piece.
